Weekly Vibe: The perfect time to create your vision board!

Hello & Intro
Hello there,
This is the perfect time for creating vision boards. We’re about midway between Solstice and Imbolc—a time when we know spring is coming, but it’s not quite here yet. I see vision boards as a form of spell-casting. As always, be mindful and intentional about what you wish for. In my younger days, I was a bit slapdash, and while I experienced a literal manifestation that brought me to where I am now, it’s not something I’d wish on someone else.
Here are my top tips for creating your vision board:
• While working on it, light a candle to enhance your energetic connection, just like in any other spell work.
• Make your vision board tangible—use old magazines or print images that resonate with you.
• Focus on what you truly want, and don’t feel the need to set limits.
• Consider different aspects of your life, much like you would in a reading: health, family, friends, work, love life, and of course, your home.
• Remember, this vision board is for the cycle of the year. However, time doesn’t exist in the same way on the other side. If you’re drawn to an image that inspires you for fifty years down the line, trust that it will do no harm.
Once you’re finished, blow out your candle and place your vision board somewhere you’ll see it every day.
I’m so excited to start a culturally and timely appropriate project this month: the Tree Ogham. I feel this is a pivotal time on Earth when blending the ancient energy of trees can guide us toward a better future. Please read on!
Exploring the Tree Ogham Together
The Tree Ogham (pronounced "Oh-am") is an ancient form of communication that originated with the Celtic Tribes who migrated to Britain from the continent around 700–500 BC. This unique system is both an alphabet and a symbolic language tied to nature, specifically trees. Over 320 inscribed standing stones, dating from 300–700 AD, remain today, predominantly in Ireland and Wales. These mysterious inscriptions offer a glimpse into the sacredness with which the Celts regarded their surroundings.
The knowledge of the Ogham system was traditionally passed down orally before being recorded in several medieval manuscripts. The Book of Leinster (12th century), The Book of Ballimote (1391), and the Book of Lecan (1416) documented Ogham as an alphabet or a secret sign language. However, the symbols go far beyond mere letters—they represent the sacred trees of the British Isles, each carrying its own unique energy and wisdom.
In total, the Ogham comprises 20 native trees, each marked with a distinct symbol. These trees can serve as a tool for divination, similar to the Runes or Tarot, and enhance magical practices whilst deepening one’s connection to nature. Over the coming months, I will explore the energy and wisdom of each tree, immersing myself in its personality and resonance. I plan to incorporate this old language into my everyday practice, creating my own Ogham set that I can use for divination connecting with the otherworld, more than that I plan to create a teachable template for my fellow be-ings to create positive change in our world
Creating My Personal Ogham Set
To begin, I will spend time with each tree individually, seeking to understand its personality, energy, and wisdom. This process will involve communing with the tree, sitting in its shade, meditating, and listening deeply to what it has to offer. With the tree’s permission, I will remove a small stick—always leaving an offering or gratitude in return—and allow it to dry. Once ready, I will carve the tree’s unique Ogham symbol into the wood, imbuing each stick with its own distinct energy and meaning. The result will be a sacred divination tool, akin to rune stones, but deeply rooted in the natural world.
The journey to create this set feels like a calling, one I have been hearing for some time. My recent trip to Ireland, where the echoes of the Ogham felt especially strong, confirmed this path. I hope to share this journey of discovery with you, not only through monthly explorations of each tree but by creating a framework for reading the Ogham that others can use in their own practice. For me, this process is about more than divination—it’s about fostering growth, reconnecting with the natural world, and allowing our souls to sing.
Ogham as a Divination Tool
For those unfamiliar, divination tools like runes, Tarot cards, or the Tree Ogham are not about fortune-telling in the traditional sense. Instead, they offer insights, clarity, and guidance from the energies of the natural world or the other worlds. The Ogham’s connection to trees makes it particularly suited for a Hedge Witch like myself, who slips between the worlds and communes with nature as a source of wisdom. By spending time with these trees and using the Ogham as a vehicle, I can attune myself to messages from the otherworld and help others find their path.
Intent and Personal Journey
I see the Tree Ogham as a way to deepen my practice and align myself further with the cycles of nature. The process of connecting with each tree, carving its symbol, and using it for divination feels like a sacred act of co-creation. It’s a way of honouring the ancient wisdom of the Celts while bringing it into the modern world. For me, this is about growth—not in the material sense, but the kind that lets your soul truly thrive.
This month, I encourage you to reflect on the trees around you. Notice their energy, their presence, and their role in the ecosystem. Could one of them be calling to you? Perhaps this is your invitation to begin your own journey with the Tree Ogham or simply to reconnect with the natural world.
The Process
Over the coming months, I will document my journey with each tree, sharing insights into their meanings, energies, and how they might be used in divination. By the end, I hope to create a comprehensive guide to using the Tree Ogham as a divination tool, available for those of us ready to move forward together in growth and understanding. This journey is one of discovery and connection, and I’m honoured to share it with you.
Stay tuned for next month’s deep dive into the first tree in the Ogham system. May this exploration inspire you to find your own way of letting your soul sing through connection with the natural world.
Dear Joy: Your Personal Questions Asked
On my Etsy shop JoyWellnessWitch my practice is open to the whole world. I'm very grateful to the openness and connection I have with my clients. Each week I'll be sharing someone's energetic queries and my intuitive advice.

- Dear Joy
Question:
Dear Joy,
I recently purchased your love spell as I’ve seen you have brilliant reviews. I want Martin xxxxxx, born 27 May 1997, to become obsessed with me and only me.
He is a friend of my older brother, but at the moment, I seem invisible to him. Please can you help me? How long will it take for the spell to work?
Seeking love!
My Response:
Thank you for reaching out. I can sense how deeply you want this to happen, and I want to reassure you that this time to shall pass, and you will find yourself in a place of unconditional love and fulfilment. Stay true to your dream of being loved and loving, and it will manifest.
In my practice, I do not place magick on third parties to interfere with their free will. My work is focused entirely on your benefit, not on influencing someone else, such as Martin. I am very fortunate that my clients are drawn to me because of the results I provide, and I would love to share this success with you in a way that honours universal balance.
Some would call me a white witch, as I work within the light and always aim to maintain harmony. Interfering with another’s free will disrupts that balance and comes with a cost—a karmic debt that I would not want to burden you or myself with. Additionally, in seeking to control someone else’s free will, you give consent for your own to be meddled with, which I sense you wouldn’t wish upon yourself.
The Universe has a far greater wisdom than any one of us and works in mysterious, magical ways. While I can include someone’s name if you have a specific crush, the energy I open is designed to align you with giving and receiving love in all its forms. Many use this spell to strengthen bonds with friends or family, but the essence of this work is to align you with the love that is truly meant for you—without forcing an outcome.
Ask yourself this: if there were a price to pay, would you truly want someone to love you because magick compelled them to, or would you rather they loved you for the authentic, radiant person you are?
Blessings,
